Getting Your Team Comfortable with Social Media

Once you have made a commitment to using social media to grow your business, it is important that you are able to get the rest of your team on board with your social media.

Before you even do this, you want to make sure that you have the right mindset about using social media.

If you are someone who worries about what other people think or gets nervous about people seeing you show up on social media, this might lead to some hesitation. I urge you to remember that these are just thoughts!

You have the power to transform your thoughts and that is key to being successful on social media.

We can’t control what other people think but you can control what you think.

You need to believe that social media is important because it is going to transform your business. Take that mindset and use it to motivate you to be consistent on your social media platforms.

Now that you have your mindset right, it is time to bring your team into your social media and getting them on board with you.

First off, remember that if it is your practice, you are the boss. You should bring your team together to share about the benefits of using social media. These are not only for yourself, but the entire practice.

It also can bring them more opportunities in the future so that is another great selling point if you have people who are hesitant.

Remember that you set the tone for your team, so make sure that you are positive and excited!

Before you know it you’ll have people who were not fans of social media coming to you with ideas for content and posts.

Finally, make sure to schedule time during each day that is intentionally set aside for content creation. This can be filming videos and taking pictures or writing out the posts. When you have it on your schedule it guarantees that it will happen.

Some of you might be associates or work in groups where everyone isn’t in favor of using social media, this doesn’t mean you can’t!

You can go in early or stay late in order to create content in the office. If that doesn’t seem feasible, you can always create content outside of the office. Take pictures outside or at home that fit what you want to share with your audience.

You can create a brand and grow a following on social media as long as you are dedicated to it. Don’t let anyone stand in the way of accomplishing something you know will help you grow.
